STARSkate
The StarSkate program is designed for skaters who have developed a solid foundation of skills and are ready to take the next step in their skating journey. Through this program, skaters have the opportunity to explore the world of figure skating in greater depth, focusing on skills, dance, free skate, and interpretive skating. StarSkate provides a flexible and personalized approach, allowing each skater to progress at their own pace while working toward Skate Canada tests, competitions, and personal goals.
Whether a skater’s aspirations are recreational or competitive, the program helps develop strong skating techniques, artistry, and confidence on the ice. Group instruction, private lessons, and independent practice are all part of the StarSkate pathway.
Coaching & Private Lessons
Once a skater enters the StarSkate program, they typically begin working directly with a certified coach. Coaches provide one-on-one or small group lessons tailored to the skater’s individual needs, schedule, and goals. Parents and skaters should consider reaching out to a coach when:
-
Their skater is interested in more individualized instruction.
-
They are ready to begin working toward Skate Canada tests or competitions.
-
They would like support in developing a training plan.
If you are unsure when it is the right time to contact a coach, or if you need guidance on choosing one, please connect with our Director of Coaching, Kerry Bain, who will be happy to provide advice and direction.
